Step 1. Go To: https://eddm.usps.com Type in your zip code or an address that you want to farm in the box. Click on the
Blue Search button.
Step 2. You will see the list of Carrier Routes appear on the left. Hover you mouse over each one and you will see a dark pink route appear in the map. When you narrow in on exactly the area you want to farm, you may need more than one carrier route to cover all of it. Click in the box at the far left and the carrier route will turn blue. Go to the map, there is an enlargement tool in the upper left corner of the map. Click on the up arrow until you get the map to the size that you want. Most likely it will be to the second level down from the top
Step 3. Please Note that there is a slider bar in blue to the right side of the box with all of the carrier routes and numbers. Slide it down to reveal additional carrier routes.
Step 4. Mark down the carrier route/routes that you want to mail to. Next to the carrier route is the number of RES (residences) in that route. You don’t want businesses. Mark down that number also. If you then multiply the total number by $ .49 you will get the total monthly investment you will make in your farm area.
Step 5. This is an enlarged screen shot of the basic information you are looking for. The zip code, carrier route and number of residences. In this case it is zip 89012, carrier route R001, and Number of residences is 625. See next page.
Step 6. Go to: Every Door Direct Mail Postcard Program Contract and fill out the contract.
